You might need two (2) travel visas for our trip. Make sure you’re prepared.
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA): If you are going through border control for any of the following countries, you will need to apply for the ETA.
All parts of the UK
England
Wales
Scotland
North of Ireland
Note: You don’t need an ETA to transit through the UK if you won’t go through border control. But because of the Common Travel Area (CTA), if you connect through the UK to the Republic of Ireland, you will need to clear UK border control. If you are unsure, check with your airline.
European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS): The ETIAS launches in the last quarter of 2026. Although there is technically a 6-month transitional grace period for travelers, you will likely want to apply for the ETIAS. Better safe than sorry!
