We knew you’d ask that.

  • Yes, really. After months of optioning wedding venues across Texas and the rest of the U.S., none of it felt right. Though we swore we’d never be those people, we had to trust our gut.

If you’re still thinking, “Hell no,” don’t worry—here’s someone who can empathize.

  • We’ve always loved Ireland and have been lucky enough to visit more than once. It’s a delightful blend of quiet pastures, breathtaking landscapes, and lively pubs.

Plus, this is where we sealed our engagement. When we left Lahinch in 2024, we swore we’d be back one day. One day is sooner than we thought!

  • We completely understand. To make this thing legal, we’ll have to make a trip to the courthouse before we take off for Ireland.

Our plans to celebrate in Texas are still pending, but we’ll share details soon.

General

  • We recommend flying into the Shannon airport (SNN). This is about a 45-minute drive to Lahinch.

We intend to shuttle guests from this airport to the Airbnb. If you fly into any other airport, you are responsible for your transport to the pods.

  • Arriving: If you are joining us Thursday, Oct. 8, aim to arrive as early in the day as is comfortable. This gives you plenty of time to go through arrivals, travel to Lahinch, and spend some time with us as we kick off the weekend.

Departing: Check out at the pods is 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. Keep this in mind—whether you’re staying in Ireland, flying to another country, or returning home.

  • Submit your flight information. We need this information to:

    • Confirm your attendance.

    • Ensure we can account for each our guests upon their arrival.

    • Secure your place in a pod.*

*Important: Without confirmed flight information, we cannot guarantee your spot at the pods.

  • We highly recommend this! The west coast of Ireland is an exceptional destination for travel.

Whether you start or end your trip with us, we’d love for you to Make The Trip Yours.

  • The short answer? A visa is not required to travel to Lahinch, Ireland unless you plan to extend your travel to other specified countries.

As of January 2025, a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is required for U.S. citizens traveling to the UK.

However, this only applies to the North of Ireland, which is still under UK rule. Lahinch is located in the Republic of Ireland; therefore, an ETA is not required unless you plan to extend your trip to other nearby areas (North of Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, etc.).

In the last quarter of 2026, the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) will take effect. This is a pre-travel authorization that allows U.S. citizens to travel to 30 specified countries for up to 90 days.

Once again, this is not required to travel to our destination. However, if you plan to travel to any of these 30 countries during your trip, you will need to apply for this visa ahead of time.

Travel Details

  • Yes! You’re coming all this way, so it’s the least we could do.

We traded in a traditional venue for a 3-night stay at Castledarcy Glamping in Lahinch, Ireland.

This spot is special. Not just because it’s where we stayed after Monique proposed to Steph, but because the hosts are exceptionally kind and it’s conveniently situated near so many of Ireland must-do’s.

  • Each pod can accommodate up to 4 people (1 queen bed, 2 twin beds). If you’re traveling in a party of fewer than 4, you might end up bunking with others.

Of course, we will do our very best to pair you up with people you know and like. Think of it this way: instead of a seating chart at a traditional wedding, we’re making a “pod” chart.

  • We are planning a personal itinerary for the weekend’s travel that our guests are more than welcome to join in on. We will provide a detailed itinerary soon, but feel free to Make The Trip Yours.

  • Our wedding reception will be held at Barrtrá, a restaurant that only uses ingredients directly sourced from Ireland. Locally caught seafood, steaks exclusively cut from Irish cattle, and vegetables grown from their garden out back.

The wedding ceremony location is still undetermined. An exact schedule for the day will be sent to our confirmed guests later this year.

  • When you confirm your attendance to our wedding weekend, we will add you to our messaging system. This will allow us to communicate with all of our guests at the same time.

    We’ll communicate on things like:

    • Reminders to submit flight information.

    • Things to remember 100 days, 60 days, 30 days, and 7 days out.

    • Packing list suggestions.

    • Unforeseen circumstances, like weather or flight delays.

    • And more!

  • More information coming soon!
